About

Utilo is a collection of online tools you can use right away, with no sign-up and nothing to install. Converting a file, splitting a group into teams, spinning a wheel: small jobs that come up now and then, done quickly.

How we build

• What you enter is never sent to a server. Everything is calculated inside your own browser.
• Every tool works on a single screen. The tool comes first, and the explanation is below it.
• Tools that are just for fun, like random pickers and dice, are clearly labelled as entertainment.

Tool categories

Tools are grouped into file conversion, image and video, and games and groups. After you use one tool, you can jump straight to another tool in the same category.

How it is made, and how to report a bug

All of the tools run as JavaScript inside your browser. Tools with random results, such as the wheel, dice and team splitter, use the browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), and key calculations such as shuffling are checked with automated tests before they are published.
